Answer:
I thought they were a decent company. I mean, when they first got into the industry, their format was completely different than Viz’s, and actually caused Viz to start publish their books unflipped. Personally, Tokyopop has a special place in my heart, and I was really sad that they disbanded, but that’s how some companies end up.
I am glad Kodansha picked up some of their titles, and so did Viz, but some titles aren’t as lucky. I am a huge fan of Rozen Maiden, and it makes me sad knowing that the second manga Peach-Pit made will never be localized.
